Kid Ink’s resurgence comes in the name of “Tell Somebody”

After a year of silence  Kid Ink has finally emerged from the dark abyss with a new sound in a package titled “Tell Somebody” produced by Dez Wright.

Okay maybe “the dark abyss” is a bit of a hyperbole. However, a year in the music industry feels like 10 years due to the frequency of music/ visuals that come out. Its easy to forget most artists (especially the hit-makers when they go on a hiatus). On the other hand Kid Ink has been consistent in dishing out summer hits and has proved to have staying power.

The rapper/ producer brings a distinct flavour with all 3 verses to this soon-to-be hit song. There’s a feeling in the air that it’s going to flood the radio stations, turn ups and aux cables in vehicle rides. Ink spoke exclusively to Michael Saponara  a contributor from Billboard about his latest offering…

“This record feels like the rebirth of the Kid Ink sound to me,” he explains. “The same way I felt as a producer, just having fun making music with no pressure of fitting any vibe or a specific sound. I have always had the melodies and energy — I just feel like they will be accepted more in today’s climate, which is really exciting for me.”

From the first listen one can tell that the “Show Me” hit maker was doing his best not to sound like the rest of the hip hop industry right now. You’re guaranteed to feel something and best case scenario it might put you in the mood to want to have a wild night with a sexy stranger and then go tell somebody about it!
